King of EBM, wave, synthpop and electro, man with many faces and even more aliases, is finally coming to your town from our neighbouring country. Currently he’s promoting his last two EP’s on European tour and he has chosen Belgrade and Pančevo for his last stops in December.
ZARKOFF < live set >
Zarkoff is a producer and musician known for solo work and many collabs, such as Sumerian Fleet, FFFC, Kali Jugend, Lab Personnel, releases with Popsimonova, Nao Katafuchi etc.
Apart from his own productions, he runs a studio called Sensorium and works as a mastering engineer for established underground labels such as Creme Organization, R Zone, Jericho One, Raw Paper Records, Repartiseraren etc.
His post punk album Sweet Obsolete (Unknown Pleasures Records) reached #1 on European Alternative Charts in 2015 and after that a few electro/acid vinyl EPs followed (Pioneers EP on Endless Illusion, Iron flute EP on Return To Disorder and Toxicology (with ikonal) EP on Gooiland Elektro), his collab project Lab Personnel released an LP called Recreation on Medical Records.
Last two EPs (Moj Prijatelj Muzičar and Autoamputation) vary in style from angry post punk rants to trippy acid wave dance tracks. Old and new material has been slightly reworked for live performances.
MKDSL < live set >
Mkdsl is a Belgrade producer, multi-instrumentalist, live performer and former DJ. He’s been in the world of music for nearly 20 years. His diverse, recognizable and elusive opus MKDSL has built a decade and a half ago through djing, and after that for the last 4 years exclusively by performing live music. The recognizable style that MKDSL presents is full of positive energy and a specific sense of humor, and for his choice of music he says it is “music for dance”. With his live performance, it blurs the boundary between live music and dj set, and his eclectic approach to music combines the sounds of techno, disc, ethno, rock and punk into a modern club experience.
For ten years he was the author and host of “Idemo na Mars” show on the B92 radio, promoting the local scene and authors.
This year he issues two vinyls, participates as a member in several bands (Bojana Vunturišević, Turisti), and works on a new electro acoustic project with Peđa Milutinović (drums, Vasil Hadžimanov…)
Vladimir Jovic and Luka Crnobrnja are the talented DJ’s bringing us the Belgrade based techno duo by the name of brÅk. United together by their shared interest in music genres, they started performing back to back in 2015, striving for a darker techno sound. Their sets often include influences from a variety of music genres, ranging from ambient music, trip hop, funk, disco, house – all the way to big beat and electro.
